Melissa Fisher is an expressive mixed media artist whose paintings are inspired by movement, freedom, and an authentic connection with truth and beauty. She grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and currently lives with her family in Lakeland, Florida. Having always been an intuitive creative, Melissa has been drawn to nature and the arts throughout her life. She studied biology in college and this appreciation and understanding of nature and human form comes through in her work. Melissa was invited by a friend to a wine and paint class in her thirties and was unexpectedly swept off her feet in love at first brushstroke. Since then, exploring and creating with paint has provided a journey toward freedom and authentic self-expression. Melissa works as a full time artist at her studio in downtown Lakeland. She feels fortunate to spend her days doing what she loves; creating paintings, exploring and developing her style as an artist.
